Travel Services

What do I do if I have a travel emergency?

CALL the TravelWealth Emergency Line - (702) 747-6367. If our team does not answer, please be sure to leave a detailed message or send a text to that number. Our team will follow up ASAP.

Flights

  • If your TSA PreCheck status is missing from your boarding pass, check that your Known Traveler Number (KTN) was correctly entered in your frequent flyer profile or during booking. If it’s still not showing, visit the airline check-in counter for assistance or re-add your KTN in your booking.

  • If your flight is canceled:
    - Contact the airline immediately for rebooking.
    - Check your airline's compensation policy.
    - If using TravelWealth, your Travel Designer can assist with rebooking and alternative routes.
    - If stranded overnight, request hotel accommodation or reimbursements from the airline.

  • Monitor your connection time. If it becomes unfeasible:
    - Contact the airline as soon as possible.
    - Check for alternative flights or rebooking options.
    - If at the airport, visit an airline service desk or lounge representative for faster service.
    - If booked through TravelWealth, reach out to your Travel Designer for assistance.

  • Interline baggage agreements allow airlines to transfer checked baggage between partner airlines. To ensure your luggage is transferred correctly:
    - Confirm with the airline at check-in.
    - Keep baggage claim tags in case of lost luggage.
    - Verify baggage rules for international connections, as you may need to claim and recheck bags.

  • If arriving from an international flight, you must collect and re-check baggage at your first point of entry in the U.S., even if your ticket is booked through to your final destination. This is due to customs regulations.

  • Travel insurance provides coverage for trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and baggage issues. Policies vary, so check what’s covered before purchasing. TravelWealth recommends providers like Allianz, TravelGuard, and Amex Travel Insurance.

    - Use official government websites to check visa policies (e.g., [U.S. State Department](https://travel.state.gov)).
    -
Some countries offer visas on arrival, while others require pre-approval.
    - Processing times vary; apply early to avoid delays.
    - Check if your passport has sufficient validity (typically 6+ months beyond your travel dates).

  • Passport renewal should be initiated at least six months before expiration. U.S. travelers can renew via the U.S. State Department (https://travel.state.gov). Expedited options are available for urgent travel.
