Payroll by Credit Card: Full Steam Ahead
In late 2024, we rolled out Payroll by Credit Card to great results. The program quickly became the biggest points-earning opportunity for many TravelWealth members and a catalyst for the development and direction of the company.
2025: A (Necessary) Year of Frustration
Unfortunately, success isn’t always achieved in a straight line. Anyone who was using the Payroll by Credit Card at the beginning of 2025 knows the frustration that followed when the payment processor had to switch sponsor banks. What was supposed to be a 2-4 week transition turned into an 8 month waiting game full of rolling deadlines and system errors. Once the system was finally up and running in September, the monthly limit the new sponsor bank could process was so low that it would disappear within the first day or two of the month. We couldn’t push anyone to Payroll by Credit Card until the sponsor bank could handle more volume.
But behind the scenes, the processor was building a better program to avoid these issues in the future.
2026: Full Steam Ahead
We are so happy to share that as of January 2026, the program caps have been removed and we have access to unlimited volume for payroll once again!
