Deal Alert: Chase Sapphire Sign-up Bonus Promotion

Sign-up bonuses for personal cards have been few and far between lately, but Chase is changing that with bonus promotions on both the Chase Sapphire Reserve & Chase Sapphire Preferred cards: 75,000 points with a $4000 spend in the first three months.

Eligibility:

To be able to take advantage, you cannot have an active Sapphire card (either the Preferred or Reserve versions) and you cannot have received a sign-up bonus on either Sapphire card in the last 48 months.

Usage:

The Sapphire Reserve earns 3x on all Travel & Dining purchases, and offers some nice travel perks, including a $300 annual travel credit, 10x on Lyft rides, and access to Chase’s new network of airport lounges. It also earns a 50% redemption bonus on Chase Travel transactions.

Applying for the Sapphire Preferred is likely a good old fashioned points grab. While the card earns 2x points on Travel & Dining, carrying a lower annual fee than the Reserve, it does not come with the same travel perks, and there are likely cards with better category multipliers in your wallet already.
